She has been a Vancouver film actress
since 1984, most recently playing Coach Claypoole, a stunt/actor role in the feature film
"John Tucker Must Die", an actor role in "Totally Awesome" and working as a stunt performer on "X-Men III", "Scary Movie IV" and in a FutureShop Canadian National Commercial.
Acting as a Principal actor in projects such as the feature
film "Baby Genius 2", the TV Mini-Series "A Wrinkle in Time", the Movie of the Week, "Every Mother's Worst Fear" and TV Series such as, "X-Files, "Millennium", and "Murphy's Law". Ms. Lilley also acted in such shows as "American
Bandstand", "Young Person's Guide of Becoming a Rock Star" and the feature film, "Saving Silverman".
She put out her first CD in 2003, a collection of original and International Lullabies called "A Whisper and a Sigh". She wrote
the lyrics for five of the lullabies, sang in English, French and Spanish and Co-Produced the CD along with her guitarist, Tony Chotem. It was a labour of love she started the day after September 11th, 2001 when she wrote her first
lullaby, "To the U.S. Child". Her baby girl was born in July, 2002 and hence "Shanna's Rock-a-Bye" and "Sh Sh Shanna" also made it on the CD.
Other musical endeavours include writing, producing and singing in "Dawn's Light" and
originating, co-writing and singing in "The Spice Mama's", which won Best of Outdoor Stage at Vancouver's Fringe Festival. Nancy also sang at Nancy's Piano Bar in Whistler for a season and enjoyed doing musicals such as "Brigadoon", "My
Fair Lady", and "Die Fleidermaus". She was also one of the founding members of the Vancouver's Actor's Chorus. Nancy's other musical abilities also include playing the piano, cello and flute. She has puppy trained two golden
retrievers as Assistance dogs for Pacific Assistance Dogs Society and another golden for BC Guide Dogs. Her two dogs, Sage and
Comet also work in the film industry. |
