The MeSsY Lie was accepted into the prestigious New York International Independent Film & Video Festival in NYC, NY. It was screened on Saturday, October 24th - Screen 6 - of the legendary Village East City Cinemas at 2:06 pm

The MeSsY Lie picked up the award for Best International Family Short Film from the New York International Independent Film Festival and was also accepted into the Chicago Short Film Festival.

Village East Cinemas, located at 181 2nd Avenue at 12 Street, New York, NY, 10003, USA, was built in 1926 as a Yiddish theater. It features 7 screens and has been beautifully restored and still features the original ornate Moorish design both inside and outside the theater. It remains one of NYC's best places to see a film.

In April 2010 Nancy completed Friends and Fools.

The MeSsY Lie features 3 of the songs from her lullaby CD, "A Whisper and a Sigh" as well as another original song called, "No Lies" in which she wrote the lyrics. Nancy also stars in it and introduces her daughter, Shanna, as one of the leads in it. It is the story of a little girl who tells a big lie about a food fight and the ensuing ramifications of that lie. This film was beautifully shot by Cinematographer, Shannon Kohli, originally from Switzerland and a crew made up of graduate students from Germany, Russia, Poland and Canada.
